How Does GlycoFortin Work?
GlycoFortin's stated mechanism spans insulin sensitization (gymnema, chromium), metabolism (green tea, guarana, forskohlii) and adaptogenic/amino acid support.
Gymnema and green tea have the clearest standalone research bases here, at doses well above what this shared blend provides per ingredient.
Insulin sensitization
Gymnema sylvestre and chromium are the ingredients most directly tied to this pathway. Gymnema's gymnemic acids are traditionally associated with blocking sugar-taste receptors on the tongue, alongside a role in supporting insulin secretion. See our piece on gymnema and blood sugar.
Metabolic activation
Green tea (EGCG), guarana, capsicum and coleus forskohlii are positioned around metabolic rate and fat oxidation. Green tea's catechins have meta-analysis support for modest glucose reduction at typical standalone doses of 270 to 800mg.
Adaptogenic and amino acid support
Four adaptogenic roots (maca, Siberian ginseng, Panax ginseng, astragalus) and eight amino acids round out the formula, each with established individual mechanisms at doses considerably higher than what a shared 200mg blend can provide per compound.
What the mechanism does not establish
Everything above concerns individual ingredients studied at their typical standalone doses. None of it is evidence that GlycoFortin the finished liquid, sharing 200mg across 22 of these compounds, produces the same effects at the same magnitude. See the full ingredient list and what the formula is positioned to support.
